I happened to be in the Avon/Avon Lake area one day last week, no doubt bent on some sort of tomfoolery as usual, when I said to myself "Self", I said, "doesn't Peggy Strang have some sort of shop around here"? Yep, she does. Even though it's on Detroit Road (kinda) it's not easy to spot, but I remembered enough of the directions from seeing her website once or twice that I found it ok. We hadn't seen each other for awhile and she (luckily)wasn't busy so we had a fine old visit. I actually learned how a loom functions. My mistake was then asking for the lowdown on spinning wheels. She answered by putting me to work on one. As you can imagine that was my cue to beat a hasty retreat. Still, seeing Peggy and her shop was definitely a fun time and if you're in the area I highly recommend a visit (just don't ask about spinning wheels).
