I've posted about streaming Internet radio several times in the past. I'm still such a big fan that I recently completed a major upgrade to my computer speakers, located in the family room, and I'm now working on a (hopefully cheap) way to be able to play it through my regular stereo in the living room too. Anyway....
There are lots of players for streaming radio. Windows has Media Player, Apple has iTunes, and
Winamp is very popular. I stumbled on a new one the other day that really peaked my interest. It's called
Screamer Radio. This is a very bare bones player and bit immature (I actually had to manually fiddle with the script it uses to save favorites at one point). None of the bells and whistles the others have. But there's one thing it can do that the others can't. It can record. If a station you listen to is going to play a full CD, or something else you want to keep, now you can. Cool.
